Blake Arthur Peel has been coming up with stories ever since he was a kid. He inflicted his scribblings on family and friends throughout his youth, always drawing maps in the back of notebooks and daydreaming when he probably should have been paying attention.
Peel was second son of Sir Robert Peel, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, and of Julia, daughter of General Sir John Floyd, 1st Baronet. He was the brother of Sir Robert Peel, 3rd Baronet, Sir William Peel and Arthur Peel, 1st Viscount Peel. He was educated at Harrow and Trinity College, Cambridge, becoming a barrister in 1849.
Arthur Peel is also commemorated on this memorial. The memorial, now listed as an historic monument, was erected at the instigation of Carrie Whitehead J.P. in September 1915 and is recognised as the first community World War One Memorial to be erected in this country. It was given "Grade II Listed Building" status in August 1999.

Use a spoon to remove the peach from the hot water, and plunge it into an ice water bath. After 10 seconds or so, grab the peach, and pinch a piece of skin to get started; then simply peel.
