STILYAGI is a huge and dynamic musical production, superbly designed and filmed with a sensation soundtrack of Russian pop tunes and some written for the film. The premise and outcome is unbelievable given the 1955 setting but it does allow some latitude as a 'what if' scenario.

15 de mai. de 2009 · Stilyagi makes an important point by painting outcasts as those elements in society that have not lost their sanity amid the insanity so prevelent in the mainstream and reinforces this idea in the film’s final scene where Mels and Polza are running with modern punks through the streets of present day Moscow.
Stilyagi (Russian: Стиляги, also known as Hipsters in the English release) is a 2008 Russian romantic musical film directed by Valery Todorovsky and starring Anton Shagin and Oksana Akinshina. Set in mid-1950s Moscow, the film depicts the Soviet stilyagi subculture, along with their struggle for self-expression within the prevailing reality of the Soviet repression.
