21 de ago. de 2006 · The James Gang 2000 reissues on MCA are all superb. They were remastered by Ted Jensen with original producer Bill Szmyzcyk. They beat the vinyl, too, IMO. I'm glad you said that because I thought that they were a significant improvement on the LP's also.
The James Gang achieved success with their first two albums, Yer’ Album (1970) and Funk #49 (1970), which both reached the top 40 of the Billboard 200 chart. The band’s next album, Thirds (1971), was their commercial peak, reaching the top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart and spawning the hit singles “Walk Away” and “Tend My Garden”.
23 de jan. de 2007 · In 2000, MCA re-issued all three Walsh-era James Gang albums in remastered format. Unfortunately, the remasters turned out to be particularly lackluster, suffering greatly in the clarity department. However, the previous year, the German Repertoire label released this 2CD set, with their own dedicated remastering.
