Curriculum - The Farnley Academy. On three days each year, Years 7-11 have their own Empowerment Days that are specifically designed to cover aspects of PHSCEE that cannot be delivered through other lessons. These days often involve outside agencies and guest speakers and cover issues such as drugs, bullying and careers.
At The Farnley Academy we greatly value and recognise the importance of parental engagement as a key strategy for improving the levels of attainment and the overall progress made by all of our students. As a parent or carer, you have the greatest influence on the achievement of your child.
The Farnley Academy became a part of The GORSE Academies Trust in January 2012. This was the first sponsorship of any school by The Morley Academy.

Ethos and Values - The Farnley Academy. We are determined to ensure that our students always enjoy learning, make excellent progress and attain outstanding results. We know that achievements do not happen by chance, but by highly reflective, carefully planned and implemented strategies.
The Farnley Academy is situated in New Farnley, 2 miles (3.2 kilometres) south-west of Leeds city centre. The Academy is most easily reached by car or bicycle from Leeds Ring Road (A6110).
