Há 3 dias · Nicholls joined the RAFVR in September 1938 as an Airman u/t Pilot. Called to full-time service at the outbreak of war, he completed his elementary flying training at 6 EFTS Sywell. He then moved on to 8 FTS Montrose for No. 19 Course from 6th May to 16th August 1940.
