31 de mai. de 2024 · Born in 1757 in one of the poorest neighbourhoods of Paris, the faubourg Saint-Marcel, the son of a domestic servant and a fruit seller, Charles-Pierre Augereau, launched a military career as a young man in the French army, but was forced to flee abroad after drawing his sword on an officer.
