You'll lay out in the cold and he'll have to do something if he doesn't want you to freeze to death. Besides, if they look too comfortable they'll be disturbed in the night anyway.
So, I've just finished the book and I was wondering why Ted only killed the other humans at the end. In the beginning of the book I thought AM had the power to revive the humans AND keep them alive. But 109 years had passed and none of them had the idea of killing each other? Sorry if I'm missing something.
