This logo was created by matte artist Rocky Longo, who also designed the previous versions. It was during the tenure of this logo that News Corporation acquired the studio. La famosa e inconfondibile fanfara della 20th Century Studios venne composta da Alfred Newman e accompagnò il logo dello studio in molti film (come Ultimatum alla Terra del 1951). Dal 1954, per le produzioni in CinemaScope , venne realizzata una versione più lunga, in uso ancora oggi (anche se con il passare degli anni ha cambiato arrangiamento, fino ad arrivare a quello attuale, del 1997).
