Mike Schmidt est le protagoniste du tout premier Five Nights at Freddy's. Il est employé par Freddy Fazbear's Pizza pour exercer le rôle de garde de nuit pendant une semaine, de 12:00 à 6:00 du matin, pour finalement se faire virer. Le jeu se passe à la première personne, au travers des yeux de Mike.
