Biography. Born in Stockholm, Bergman enrolled at Royal Dramatic Drama School. She began acting in Sweden before moving to Hollywood in 1939. Her first movie was a remake of a Swedish movie Intermezzo. Bergman starred in movies Casablanca (1942), Gaslight (1944), Spellbound (1945) and Notorious (1946). She was nominated for seven Academy Awards.
