He was now trapped because he couldn’t break up with Daya without Caesar killing him (if you disagree then that’s on you), and he couldn’t take the baby away because he’d have to admit it was his baby to get custody and he’d go to prison. Leaving wasn’t good for the baby or Daya but I can see why he did it.
