Biografi. Anne Hyde var dotter till Edward Hyde, earl av Clarendon, och Frances Aylesbury. Anne Hyde is professor of history at the University of Oklahoma. She works on race, Indigenous America, and the US West. Her most recent books include Born of Lakes and Plains: Mixed-Descent Peoples and the Making of the American West, (Norton 2022) and Empires, Nations, and Families: A New History of the North American West, 1800–1860, a 2012 Bancroft winner and Pulitzer finalist.
