General George Keppel, 3rd Earl of Albemarle (1724-1772) was styled Viscount Bury until 1754, becoming 3rd Earl of Albermale in 1757 on the death of his father. He came from a wealthy and powerful Flemish family from Gueldres, close to the Princes of Orange, who had moved to England in the 17th Century.
