Robert Grosvenor, 1st Marquess of Westminster, KG (22 March 1767 – 17 February 1845) was the son of the 1st Earl Grosvenor, whom he succeeded in 1802 as 2nd Earl Grosvenor. He was created Marquess of Westminster in 1831. He was an English Member of Parliament (MP) and an ancestor of the modern-day Dukes of Westminster.

  4. Robert Grosvenor (*1937, New York) lives and works in East Patchogue. Solo exhibitions of Grosvenor‘s work have been held in international institutions, such as the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami (2019 and 2021); The Renaissance Society, Chicago (2017); Fundação de Serralves, Porto (2005); The Arts Club, Chicago (2003); and Kunsthalle Bern (1992), among others.

  5. Grosvenor’s work is his relentless pursuit of contradictions and paradoxes. While his early sculptures dealt with gravity and tension within given architectural structures, his newer installations, assimilating influences from art history, everyday life, and commercial design, bring his work closer to the Las Vegas-influenced Postmodernism of Robert Venturi.
