Midlake's first album after the departure of front man and chief songwriter, Tim Smith. Tim Smith's talents are considerable but Antiphon shows us just how talented Smith's band mates are--and how their founder's talents may, in fact, have overshadowed and suppressed the full display of Midlake's true potential. This is an amazing album.

In addition to the aforementioned Jesse Chandler and Eric Pulido, the band’s current lineup is completed by McKenzie Smith (drums), Eric Nichelson (guitar) and Joey McClellan (bass).

We’re pleased to announce a show at one of our favorite local venues @tulipsftw on December 16. Preceding our regular set, we’re featuring an opening set by the Midlake Jazz Trio (Jesse, Mike and McKenzie) doing a tribute to the classic “A Charlie Brown Christmas” by Vince Guaraldi.
