The Bloodstained Shadow (great title!) is a pure slow burn, don’t watch if you’re tired or in a mood. You’ll need to pay close attention to everything. my only complaint, it just slightly overstays its welcome in the runtime department.

28 de abr. de 2008 · Despite unmistakable evidence that “The Bloodstained Shadow” is just a soft echo of the classics from the early 1970’s, I still find it quite pleasing and watchable. I’d really only dissuade viewers from trying it as a giallo gateway, as anyone already happily familiar with the genre is likely to be fond of it for the very reasons that make it clichéd and derivative.

The film looks rather dark and colorless on the stream, but it’s quality enough to sample for free. I watched the film on 88 Films’ Region B Blu-ray release, which offers better color and sharper black contrast.
