George Pal (* 1. Februar 1908 in Cegléd, Österreich- Ungarn, als György Pál Marczincsak; † 2. Mai 1980 in Beverly Hills, Kalifornien, USA) war ein ungarisch - US-amerikanischer Tricktechniker, der als Filmproduzent und Filmregisseur durch Science-Fiction- und Fantasyfilme bekannt wurde.

Based on an idea by songwriters Paul Tripp and George Kleinsinger, the short film tells the story of an anthropomorphic symphony orchestra and one of its members, a cherubic, apple-cheeked young tuba named Tubby.
The first company approached bought the idea, the ad was a huge success, and Pal was famous. George in a 1977 interview. Pal relocated to Einhover, Holland where opened his "Dollywood" studio, which was partly financed by an investor who wanted numerous ads made for $7000-$8000 each.
