The Matrix is an American cyberpunk [1] media franchise consisting of four feature films, beginning with The Matrix (1999) and continuing with three sequels, The Matrix Reloaded, The Matrix Revolutions (both 2003), and The Matrix Resurrections (2021). The first three films were written and directed by the Wachowskis and produced by Joel Silver.
The matrix would be a lot better without this movie. You enjoyed the first, you sort of liked the second, and watch the franchise slowly crumble with this. A bad movie all round.

If I cared more about Neo, Morpheus, Niobe and the others, there'd be more fire in my heart. But my regard is more for the technical triumph of the movie, less for the emotions it evokes.
