In 1952, the Society receives its royal charter and officially becomes St Anne's College. The Principal, Eleanor Plumer, gives as a gift to the College the right to use her family's coat of arms and motto 'consulto et audacter' (purposefully and boldly). Each year St Anne’s welcomes up to 40 'Study Abroad' Visiting Students, who spend up to a year experiencing the academic and social life of an Oxford College. How to apply We welcome applications from undergraduate students studying outside the UK, with a minimum grade point average of 3.7 (out of 4) or equivalent.

Visiting Students: Each year we welcome approximately 35 ‘Study Abroad’ Visiting Students to St Anne’s, who spend up to a year experiencing the academic and social life of an Oxford College. Visiting Students integrate fully into the St Anne’s community, getting involved with college clubs and sports teams and making friends with our students.
Most meals are self-service and informal, costing approximately £4.50 for lunch or dinner. If you are an undergraduate living in College accommodation, at the start of each term your University card is topped up with £185, which can then be used to buy food in hall and at STACS (the St Anne's Coffee Shop).
