The Brazilian Center for Early Child Development (CPAPI) is a research center dedicated to fostering equal opportunities among children aged 0 to 6 years, by providing policymakers with scientific evidence and thus promoting children's healthy and full development throughout the country.
The Brazilian Center for Early Child Development (CPAPI), a research center supported by São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and an initiative of Núcleo Ciência Pela Infância (NCPI), holds its 1st Brazilian Workshop on Early Childhood Applied Research.
“BCECD is a mission-oriented research center that will use a multidisciplinary approach to pursue solutions to a problem as complex as early childhood development,” said Luiz Eugênio Mello, Scientific Director of FAPESP, at the launch event.
Its mission will be to carry out original research on early child development (ECD), integrate data on ECD from different sources, and organize e-learning courses and workshops for public-sector professionals, high-school students, undergraduates, and graduate students about the impact of ECD on later life outcomes.
