Dongduk Women's University (DWU; Korean: 동덕여자대학교) is a private university in Seoul, South Korea. Dongduk Women's University is originated from Dongwon Girls School, founded in 1950. DWU is composed of eight colleges, six departments, 18 majors, 16 departments of majors, and seven graduate schools.
Under the founding principle, "Strong education towards women keeps the country solid,” Dongduk is educating next-generation professional women who promote and practice ‘virtue’ which is the best value of human nature around the world.
DONGDUK WOMEN’S UNIVERSITY Founding Spirit. In 1908, having realized the importance of educating women to contribute to the self-reliance of our country, the late Dr. Cho Dong-Shik, also known as Choon-Kang, founded Dongwon Girls' School (Eui-sook).

The Liberal Arts College is largely composed of the Liberal Arts Course, the Teacher Training Course, and the Special Course to realize the university’s educational goals of education for humanization, education for autonomy, education for socialization, education for globalization and education for integration.
