This solo debut by Glenn Tilbrook (former Squeeze singer) is incredible! It has a fresh, vital sound and spans a wide range of emotions and situations, including a funny account of a Radio 2 interview gone horribly wrong in "Interviewing Randy Newman", and a funky-but-sobering account of a suicide in "One Dark Moment".
In 2003 Tilbrook told Don Thrasher of the Dayton Daily News, "I'm the happiest I've been in the music business since I can remember, and that's because now I'm sort of on the peripheral [sic] of the music business." In 2001 Tilbrook released his first solo album, The Incomplete Glenn Tilbrook, on Quixotic Records.
