'The Face Of Fu Manchu' is the first in a series of five movies produced by the legendary Harry Allan Towers. Towers is probably best known for his collaborations with Jess Franco, indeed Franco directed the last two movies in the series, but this one is directed by Don Sharp ('Rasputin: The Mad Monk', 'Psychomania') and scripted by Towers himself.
Arch villain Fu Manchu (Christopher Lee), the nefarious creation of Sax Rohmer, is back again hatching another scheme for world domination. From his lair beneath the Thames River he will unleash a deadly poison gas -- that is, if Inspector Nayland Smith (Nigel Green) of Scotland Yard doesn't catch him first.

25 de set. de 2012 · Fu Manchu fans should know the colors on this WB Archive DVD-R are pretty muddy - as in everything looks rusted reddish, coupled to the dingy English seacoast towns the film was shot around makes a pretty depressing experience at times --it's clearly not been color-corrected or whatever they do to make colors shine anew on old movies.That said, this is the best of the Christopher Lee Fu's ...
