24 de jun. de 2021 · Potential nuance to add to the 'rubbish' factor - I have a similar experience as someone that has tried both GIMP and Photopea, I think the 'rubbish' experience (which I share) is mostly due to the fact that I was already so used to Photoshop and Photopea being virtually identical. Also love Photopea since I am often restricted to a Chromebook.

The Photopea tool, "Magic Replace", should be thought of as a Stable Diffusion prompt. Give the prompt as much detail as possible to get a great result. The difference is that photopea is free, you save things on your computer rather than through a cloud, and it runs on web. Photopea does not use enough processing for it to struggle on the web, nor does photoshop.
When using Photopea, when I delete an image layer, my image will just turn to a black and white gradient and it will no longer allow me to edit images unless I completely scratch my project and restart. Any idea why this is happening or any way to fix it? It’s a weird problem that I haven’t had in years of using Photopea.
11 de fev. de 2024 · Yes, it is a perfect replacement for Photoshop, but without the Photoshop cost. There's the free version which has ads, or pay a small subscription for an ad free experience. The interface is identical to Photoshop and most of the tools are the same as those in Photoshop. Although there are a few of the Photoshop functions missing in Photopea.

16 de ago. de 2022 · I noticed that Photopea, both the online and the desktop versions, are lagging a lot. I tried many things - I enabled WebGL, I used the incognito mode because of the web browser's extensions, I deleted the browser's cache but it is still the same.

16 de out. de 2021 · click the color with a Magic Wand, and press Delete, to delete that color (i.e. make it transparent). Select the layer that has the image, right click on that layer and select blending options. Slide the arrow under "current layer" that is on the (black) left side and move it towards the center until you have all the black eliminated.
