Sergei Appolinarievich Gerasimov (Russian: Серге́й Апполина́риевич Гера́симов; 21 May 1906 – 26 November 1985) was a Soviet film director and screenwriter. The oldest film school in the world, the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography (VGIK), bears his name.
Sergei Appolinarievich Gerasimov (em russo, Серге́й Апполина́риевич Гера́симов; vila de Koundravy, perto de Tcheliabinsk, 3 de junho de 1906 — Moscou, 26 de novembro de 1985) foi um cineasta e roteirista russo.
Sergey Gerasimov. Director: Lev Tolstoy. Sergei Gerasimov was born in the village of Kundravy in Urals area of the Russian Empire, in 1906. He studied at the Leningrad College of Arts and graduated from the Actors Department of the Leningrad Institute for Stage Arts in 1928.
