Coloane (Chinese: 路環, Portuguese: Coloane) is the southernmost area in Macau, connected to Taipa through the area known as Cotai, which is largely built from reclaimed land. Known as “Lou Wan” in Cantonese, Coloane forms the southern part of Macau.
Coloane is the lungs of Macau with lush greenery covering the hills and birds singing. No wonder this area is home to the majority of hiking trails in Macau. From short and easy to longer and more challenging, there are around ten trails to explore.

Coloane (路環 - Louwan in Cantonese, Lùhuán in Mandarin) is the southern-most island in China's Special Administrative Region of Macau. It used to be separated from Taipa to the north but the two are now joined by the reclaimed land of the Cotai Strip to form one huge island.
