The tour of the castle includes three floors and it is not possible to avoid stairs. Access to the basement level and the first floor, have a video tour that you can view. Please note that this requires earphones (which can be purchased from the ticket office).

Inveraray Castle is a magnificent towered mansion with a splendid interior, long the seat of the influential Campbell Dukes of Argyl, located among colourful gardens and fine grounds in a beautiful spot by the sealoch Loch Fyne and near the attractive whitewashed village of Inveraray.
Inveraray Castle. In 1744 the third Duke of Argyll decided to demolish the existing castle and start from scratch with a new building. The castle was 40 years in construction, and the work was largely supervised by the Adam family, still renowned to this day as gifted architects and designers.
