William Humble Eric Ward, 3rd Earl of Dudley, MC TD (30 January 1894 – 26 December 1969), known as Viscount Ednam until 1932, was a British Conservative Party politician.
Lord Dudley was childless and on his death in 1833, the two viscountcies and earldom became extinct. He was succeeded in the barony of Ward by his second cousin Reverend William Humble Ward, the 10th Baron. He was the grandson of Reverend William Ward, younger brother of the first Viscount Dudley and Ward.
Biography. The trustees of John William Ward, Earl of Dudley (including Henry Phillpotts, Bishop of Exeter) were awarded compensation for the enslaved people on 3 estates, Whitney and Rymesbury in Clarendon and New Yarmouth in Vere, all in Jamaica.
