A televisão de definição padrão (em inglês standard-definition television, sigla SDTV), refere-se a sistemas televisivos que tenham uma resolução de imagem que alcance certos padrões mas não sejam considerados EDTV (TV de definição aprimorada) ou HDTV (TV de alta definição).
