Paul Sawtell (born Sawatzki, 3 February 1906, Gilwe, then German Reich, now Poland [1] – 1 August 1971) was a film score composer active in the United States. Sawtell began his career with RKO, and eventually joined Universal Pictures.

US Polish composer, arranger and orchestra leader. He was born on February 3, 1906 in Gilve, Poland and died on August 1, 1971 in Los Angeles. He started his career at RKO studios in the 1930s, then moved to Universal, where his first assignment was scoring "The Pearl of Death" (1944).
