  2. Blount was given a further mark of royal favour when in the autumn of 1530 he was pricked sheriff of Shropshire. He did not survive his term of office, for he died on 27 Feb. 1531, midway through the second session of the Parliament.

  6. 8 de jan. de 2024 · John Blount (by 1471-1531) was an English politician. He was born the eldest son of Sir Thomas Blount of Kinlet, Shropshire. He succeeded his father c.1525 and was knighted in 1529. He was elected a Member (MP) of the Parliament of England for Shropshire in 1529.
