The course (Commissioning Course Short) takes eight weeks to complete and is based directly on the Regular Commissioning Course. It is split equally into four modules. It is an intense, challenging course designed to teach the fundamentals of soldiering and develop Officer Cadets as leaders.

Training to be an Officer. Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. There are three intakes each year for potential regular officers, in January, May and September. The commissioning course lasts for 42 weeks. Army Officers are people who have ambitious goals.
Sandhurst delivers a variety of leadership development training to a wide number of countries across the globe. From international cadets attending the 44-week commissioning course to academics delivering training in-country. International Engagement
In 1992, a new Commissioning Course finally unified the training of male, female, and overseas cadets. The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst Collection illustrates the history of the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, the Royal Military College, Sandhurst, and the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
There are two shorter commissioning courses. One is for professionally qualified officers (e.g., doctors, dentists, nurses, lawyers, pharmacists, vets and chaplains). The second short course is Module 4 of the Territorial Army (TA) Commissioning Course (TACC), which lasts three weeks.

Both options will see you receive your commission on completion of your training at The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Initial Officer training is a series of 4 modules. Consolidated training courses are run at Sandhurst allowing you to potentially complete all of your Reserve Officer training in a single eight week package.
