19 de mar. de 2020 · Way has never explicitly confirmed his sexual orientation, but during a 2015 Reddit AMA, he revealed that he had long experienced “gender identity issues,” “always identified a fair amount with the female gender,” and used his “look and performance style” in MCR to express those feelings.
Gerard's tweet, which is here, is his way of saying he doesn't identify as female.. he doesn't want to be she/her.. because he's not. Since Gerard didn't say "he/him", the community has jumped on it as if he's not cool with being called "him".
They answered no because the first person asked if they were changing their pronouns to they/them, so no because they still use he/him AND because they said they ALWAYS preferred he/they, so already using they/them!
Gerard takes after David Bowie in the sense that he's a man who is comfortable enough with his gender and sexuality to blur the lines where and when he wants. That said, his pronouns are Ge/Way
