Um solitário andarilho ( Paul Dano) já percorreu vários quilômetros e se vê perdido numa região isolada e assustadora. Tentando encontrar uma saída, ele acaba conhecendo um cadáver ( Daniel Radcliffe ). Passando o estranhamento inicial, o jovem e seu novo amigo partem numa jornada de descobertas.
