The Picture of Dorian Gray begins on a beautiful summer day in Victorian era England, where Lord Henry Wotton, an opinionated man, is observing the sensitive artist Basil Hallward painting the portrait of Dorian Gray, a handsome young man who is Basil's ultimate muse.
When the artist Basil Hallward paints a picture of his friend, the young and very handsome Dorian Gray, it is the most important work of his life. His friend Lord Henry Wotton calls it, ‘the best portrait of our time.’. But neither man can guess how important it will be to Dorian Gray himself.
