The Sesame Closing Theme is the short instrumental piece that accompanied the underwriter credits for Sesame Street from 1972 to 1992. The piece is known under a number of unofficial alternative titles, including "Funky Chimes" and "Funky Bells." The end credits for Street Gang: How We Got to Sesame Street list it as "Sesame Closing March, AKA Funky Chimes", while a looped version was used for the documentary's opening credits.

The piece was composed by Joe Raposo and is registered with BMI under Work ID 5253313. The performers included Raposo on glockenspiel and Danny Epstein on drums. Other instruments prominently featured on the recording include saxophone and wah-wah electric guitar.

•The funding credits for Episode 1095 features one of the longest instances of this particular music.
