2016: Produce 101
In 2016, Sei became a contestant on Mnet's survival show Produce 101, representing her company LOUDers Entertainment. She was eliminated in episode 5 after ranking 85th place. After the show, she left her company and signed with Fantagio Music.
2017-2024: Weki Meki
On June 3, 2017, Sei was revealed as the second member of Weki Meki. The group officially debuted on August 8 with their first mini album Weme. On August 16, 2024, Fantagio announced that Weki Meki had effectively disbanded on August 8 and Sei decided not to renew her exclusive contract with the agency.
