31 de mai. de 2017 · Frei Otto (31/5/1925 - 9/3/2015) foi um arquiteto e engenheiro alemão conhecido por suas inovações em estruturas leves e tensionadas. Logo após eu falecimento em 2015, foi laureado com o Prêmio Pritzker e antes disso, em 2006, foi homenageado com a RIBA Royal Gold Medal.

O arquiteto alemão Frei Otto (1925-2015) é o novo ganhador do prêmio Pritzker, a mais importante honraria da arquitetura. O anúncio foi feito às pressas neste mês pela Fundação Hyatt, com sede nos Estados Unidos, algumas semanas antes do que de costume em decorrência do falecimento de Otto. Ele tinha 89 anos.
