Frans Hals (Antuérpia, 1580 ou 1585 — Haarlem, 10 de agosto de 1666) foi um pintor neerlandês durante o Século de Ouro dos Países Baixos. O grande retratista de Haarlem ficou famoso por retratar a sociedade dos Países Baixos segundo uma estética naturalista, com ênfase no retrato pictórico .
Banquet of the Officers of the Calivermen Civic Guard. Frans Hals depicts the officers of the Callivermen civic guard at their farewell dinner in 1627, they took up their posts in 1624. The Callivermen or St. Adrian Civic Guard was established in Haarlem in 1519.
