Yea the saga was made for network TV, I think CBS or NBC in 1979. But HBO put together the godfather epic which put 1 and 2 in chronological order and included all deleted scenes. Epic is what everyone seems to be looking for but unfortunately can't find.

I especially like Mama Corleone’s subdued response, “Santino, did they shoot your father?” As far as I’m concerned, all the deleted scenes are great and show that The Godfather is so great, even its deleted scenes are amazing, and it’s part of what I love watching The Epic and The Trilogy 1901-1980 versions.
