I for one, found Charlotte to be an Emotional Roller-Coaster. There are SOME incredibly sad parts, yes. But then, there are parts that completely cheer you up or make you laugh. I'd say the "Not Sad"/Sad Balance throughout the series would lean on a 60/40 scale.

The last scene even tough sad for the viewer, is in it self a moment of serenity and tranquility for Yuu and withe the sudden slow down of things also for the viewer. With the slower last scene, the viewer once again connects with the protagonist.
Secondly, the way they unveiled that the MC has the power of "God" seemed really rushed. Third, and lastly, the ending seemed really underwhelming. The story went from 0 to 100 waaay too quick and it felt like the studio threw that in at the last moment just so they can have an ending. 9. chelo84.
