Astana (em cazaque e russo: Астана, pronunciado: (escutar ⓘ)) [1] é a capital do Cazaquistão. Conhecida até 1998 como Aqmola, foi rebatizada em 2019 para Nur-Sultã, [2] mas voltou a ser renomeada para seu nome anterior, Astana, em 2022.
Astana, previously known as Akmolinsk, Tselinograd, Akmola, and most recently Nur-Sultan, is the capital city of Kazakhstan. The city lies on the banks of the Ishim River in the north-central part of Kazakhstan, within the Akmola Region , though administered as a city with special status separately from the rest of the region.
