Allan Holdsworth (6 August 1946 – 15 April 2017) was a British jazz fusion and progressive rock guitarist, violinist and composer. He contributed to numerous bands, including Soft Machine, U.K., The Tony Williams Lifetime, Pierre Moerlen's Gong and Bruford, in addition to solo work.
The model enlists a compact body and optional chambering to fit Holdsworth's signature sound and play style; the end result is a light guitar, averaging around 5.75 lbs., that offers easy access and playability on the stage, in the studio, or on the couch.
