George Boole (Lincoln, 2 de novembro de 1815 — Ballintemple, 8 de dezembro de 1864) foi um matemático, filósofo britânico, criador da álgebra booleana, fundamental para o desenvolvimento da computação moderna.
George Boole Jnr (/ b uː l /; 2 November 1815 – 8 December 1864) was a largely self-taught English mathematician, philosopher, and logician, most of whose short career was spent as the first professor of mathematics at Queen's College, Cork in Ireland.
Boolean algebra was introduced by George Boole in his first book The Mathematical Analysis of Logic (1847), and set forth more fully in his An Investigation of the Laws of Thought (1854).
