Lausana (português europeu) ou Lausanne (português brasileiro) [1] [2] [3] [4] (em francês Lausanne [lozan]) é uma cidade na Suíça romanda, a parte francófona da Suíça, e é a capital do cantão de Vaud. Sede do distrito de Lausana, a cidade está situada às margens do Lago Léman (em francês: Lac Léman).
Lausanne is built on the southern slope of the Swiss plateau, with a difference in elevation of about 500 metres (1,640 ft) between the lakeshore at Ouchy and its northern edge bordering Le Mont-sur-Lausanne and Épalinges. Lausanne boasts a dramatic panorama over the lake and the Swiss and Savoyan Alps.
