Welcome to The Glasgow School of Art’s Archives and Collections, a rich resource for the study of art, design, architecture and art education. Our varied holdings illustrate the history of the institution and the development of its teaching practices since it was established in 1845.
Studying at the GSA is an immersive creative experience, with studio-based programmes across our four specialist schools: Fine Art, Design, Architecture, and Innovation & Technology. Explore our degree programmes at undergraduate, postgraduate and MPhil/PhD levels, as well as short courses, portfolio classes and exchange and study abroad options.

The Glasgow School of Art Archives were established in 1994 to select and preserve the School's historically significant records and make them available to researchers. In 2001 the Archives joined with the School's Museum Collections to offer a combined research service for visitors.
