A trama segue Yukio "Koyuki" Tanaka, um estudante comum do ensino médio que leva uma vida monótona até conhecer um cãozinho vira-lata chamado Beck. Enquanto passeia com o cão, ele salva um estranho chamado Ryusuke Minami de alguns valentões.
