Green Hill Zone (グリーンヒルゾーン[1], Gurīn Hiru Zōn?) is the first Zone in the 16-bit version of Sonic the Hedgehog (1991), and its numerous ports and remasters, as well as the 8-bit version of that game, and thus, the first Zone of the whole Sonic series.

In Sonic Jump Fever, Green Hill is the first Zone in the game. In addition to its iconic traits, like green grass, checkered soil, mountains and waterfalls and loop-de-loop, the Zone includes small platforms that basically consist of the grass with a partial portion of the soil.
