It has as main protagonists Monica, Jimmy Five, Smudge and Maggy and each has its own comic book. Currently the character Milena was recently added as the fifth main character of the group.
Monica (Mônica in the original) is the protagonist of Monica's Gang. She was created by Mauricio de Sousa in 1963, and first appeared in a comic strip alongside Jimmy Five. She is a super strong 7 year-old and is voiced by Marli Bortoletto in the Brazilian animated version of the comic book series.
