After excelling at collegiate track, Everson transformed the nascent sport of female bodybuilding. One month after winning the 1984 NPC Nationals, the 25-year-old Wisconsin native leaped into the Ms. Olympia—and won. As incredible as her O debut victory was, it wasn’t shocking.
Cory's bodybuilding career embarked in the early 1980s. Standing a statuesque 5'9" and weighing a brawny 155-160 lbs at competitions, Cory took her first contest in 1981 and won the rest of her amateur shows.
